Dr. Shivakumar K is a dedicated Consultant Pulmonologist currently working at the Kauvery Hospital, Marathahalli, With an MBBS from JSS Medical College Mysore, followed by a specialization in Respiratory Medicine (MD) from the prestigious Institute of Medical Science, Banaras Hindu University, Dr. Shivakumar has over eight years of experience in respiratory medicine, including five years post his MD. His clinical expertise encompasses managing complex respiratory conditions such as bronchial asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, pleural effusion, pulmonary embolism, obstructive sleep apnea, and lung cancer.
He is also proficient in advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy, pleural biopsy, and intercostal drainage tube insertion. Dr. Shivakumar has worked with the lung transplant team at BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital, Bangalore, and has presented his research at national conferences such as NAPCON.
