It is a common procedure done in neonatal care. It is associated with cardiorespiratory instability and pain.

An umbilical catheter is placed for an infant which allows the blood to be taken from the baby to avoid repeated usage of needle sticks.

A chest tube is placed in the neonates to drain the pleural space and to prevent the lung from collapsing.

PICC is a long plastic tube inserted into the large vein of the infant's arm that is guided to the larger vein near the heart.

Exchange transfusion is a process in which patient’s blood is replaced with donor blood to remove any abnormal components or toxins from the blood.

Hemodynamic monitoring is the study of that helps to know how blood flows through the heart and blood vessels.

The process of feeding a special formula consisting of most of the nutrients to the neonatals through veins. This is done when a newborn cannot receive feedings by mouth.
